About me
I’m Karen. l grew up in South Africa in an English speaking environment. I’ve been living in the Netherlands for more than 30 years now and have also become fluent in Dutch.
In 2016 I choose for my heart and made my passion for kids my job. I prefer working with children aged between 4 and 12 years old. I don’t smoke so your house stays smoke free. I’m reliable and the children I look after know what to expect from me. Parents describe me as kind, caring and flexible.
Working day
I pick up your kids from school and care for them in the familiar surroundings of your home until you get home from work. I can take your kids to sports or other after school activities. I enjoy baking, playing games and doing crafting activities with the children l look after. I encourage play dates because it is good for the social development of children.
Holidays
Child care allowance
I’m registered in the Netherland as a gastouder(nanny). l work via Gastouderbureau 4 kids. With this constuction it is possible for you to get child care allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag) from the Dutch government. The number of days l can work for you is restricted to 3 days a week and l can look after no more than 6 children at any given time.
Availability
At the moment I work for two families for two or three days a week. I’m no longer available for childcare on weekdays afternoons. After consulation weekends or evenings might be possible. Childcare before school might also be possible. Contact me with the link below
